Today was really great guys. Thanks for all the hard work. I'm glad i could host a few games (glad I could give your wife a Chrononauts game, Josh). The Artemis room was absolutely amazing. I was bowled over not only by its coolness but how great it was for my wife's South Park kids. Brent, your choices for your Teach It! line are impeccable. Thanks for reminding me how kickass Bazaar is.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Feel free to come try to track down Jack the Ripper in the morning if you aren't doing anything else.

Thanks all who put on the new and improve Oshkosh Gaming Convention. The kids area worked really well for us. I have to work harder at clearing my schedule so I can come both days. And if the fun and learning new games wasn't enough, I won a door prize!

Thanks again.

HA! Heath wasn't even in any of them - the tables have turned!

Great job to everyone who was involved. A really good start to years of NewGame.

I want to thank all the helpers we had, as well as those who attended. Especially the DE clan and AGG and OMM for all their hard work on the Family area. This really was a PolyU event.

We couldn't have done it without all of our helpers. Thanks to you all we can call this a success - you all own this success just as much as anyone else!

So, I am checking over the photos of the con. Oh yeah. OH YEAH.

I'll post them soon.

Helpers Schmelpers. They didn't get THEIR names in the paper. I'm calling dibs on ALL the credit!

But seriously... +1 to what Harb and BHL said.

Student feedback:

"That was so cool!"

"I will never forget Artemis!"

"I loved Flames of War so much, my family is going to start getting it for me." (Poor kid suffers from Birtmas... A Birthday overshadowed by Christmas.)

"Is Fire & Ice like this? Because I wanna go if it is. . . this was so awesome!"

It was a wonderful experience and I can't say thank you enough for allowing my club to be part of it. I also loved learning about all sorts of new games and having the opportunity to teach games and play with gamers of all ages. It was just a great time all around. Everyone did such an amazing job setting up the event, running the event, and being part of the friendliest place on Earth.

And I will never forget the minion. My daughter was so excited to receive it. When I appeared at the car window with it, instead of saying "mommy" she said "minion"! An instant hit. Plus they are just too awesome. We are currently the envy of all who know us, because we have the coolest looking knit minion anywhere! :-)

Seriously a great, amazing, wonderful, awesome, totally the best convention experience I could have imagine for my first convention. Everything after this has a high bar to hurdle. Thank you.

Just to pile on....

My daughter was almost in tears when it was time to go and she cannot wait for her next convention experience (this was her first). Thank you for bringing the girls Harb.

My sons gave up some of their favorite game time slots to get more of the Artimis experience. Nice job GT teaching all those up and coming space cadets.

Favorite gaming experience of the weekend: Survive. Had a chance to play the game with two boys that were loving every minute of eating each others swimmers with sharks and sea monsters. They got so in to it, it was fun to watch their excitement.

I need to play snake oil some time with you all.

Very happy to be part of this community of fine peoples. Well done.

Yes, Artemis was a hit. Despite my oversleeping on Sunday. Once we got past a few bugs and learned a bit more about network settings, it ran fairly smoothly. We even had two simultaneous ships running for half of Sunday.

Sorry for not pushing more back for stickers. So many were kids that I kind of gave up. I also feel bad I did not get out to assist more with other convention duties and touching base with vendors more often.

SB, tell me you collected from Bob. I did not. I will swing by this week if we did not get his table fee from him. If you did, thanks.

GT, I collected from him.

I meant to let you know it was taken care of, but every time I thought about it, you were in deep conversation with someone, or teaching a crew full of fresh meat how to pilot a star ship.

Did anyone get a copy of the news clip from Channel 5? I tried recording it, but because the game went long, all the programing was pushed back and it didn't record anything. :-(

Harb got it. I have a trimmed down copy that will be added to the NEWGame website soon.

Awesome! The kids who went were excited about it, so I'm hoping to show it. :-)

If anyone gets the free Community Snapshots paper, there is a 3/4 page spread in there about the con!

Site is back live on the new server. Still need to push through updates and what-nots, but it exists again.
