I was really excited to see news on this today! Is anyone signing up to be a GameMaster?

Actually, a handful of the guys here are the ones running it! It looks like it's shaping up to be a good time.

We are indeed running this. How did you come across the site?

I think I was the first one to sign up to GM.

Actually, I know I was, because I did it at the end of the testing as I was putting together the form. ^_^

I found it about a month ago when I was looking for Oshkon. Then I went to the Facebook page and then followed things from there. I know I saw a thread in here during my lurking, but wasn't sure if what I was seeing ended up being the people from here. That's awesome!

Side Note: My husband, who found this forum, just informed me that "duh! of course I knew that!" So... there you go.

Now to get back to the awesome people who responded to me the other day about my kids. :-) Oh... and we're going. Ray (that husband guy) said he wants to go, too. Automatic chaperone!!

To all PolyU denizens:
The schedule is really starting to fill in! Sign up to run a game. Also get your pre-order in for t-shirts and dice!

Does anyone have any in-shrink games or game/ geek related items to donate for the door prizes?

I'll be running Overlord both days with different scenarios. I'll also be running Police Precinct on Sunday.

I like to wait until the games I want to play are in.

Isn't that sort of a catch 22, if everyone waits until the end??

Get yours in, and I can nudge the times if you want. I have the power....

I have an in shrink copy of abridged that I will donate. I will bring it around until I see one of you con guys.

On a separate question, I am still not sure if I can make it both days, but if I do attend it will likely be to throw some stuff into the auction. Can we download the forms for the auction so we can create our lots & lot descriptions in advance and come prepared? I am not eager to hand write them on the fly. Even if we have to wait to hand-write in our bidder/seller number since they may not be assigned til the day of, that is okay, but the more work I can get done in advance, the more likely I am to bring stuff for the auction (being mindful of the 10-lot limit, of course)

Anyway, not a big deal either way, just thought I would ask.

Cheers!

I've never done this before. I'm going to be spending part of Saturday chaperoning the kids from South Park Middle School, but I wanted to host too. But I'm just not sure what depth of game to do (or what I'd be good at teaching strangers if necessary).

I was leaning towards Pandemic, Chrononauts, and Infinite City (i see there's a block of that already, but only an hour on Saturday).

But part of me was considering a block of a longer game like Zombicide or Letters From Whitechapel.

Any advice? Was going to do the full 4 hours both days.

OMM- all those games sound good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those. Maybe a heavy and a light session.

My only worry about running games is getting the wrong group playing it. It has made me not as interested in games I use to love.

All except one of my students is registered as of right now. I'm trying to get registered now that I have my kid's all set and ready to go. I'm really excited, but really nervous.

I think I'm signing up for:

Dixit Jinx!
Tsuro
Dixit (I know someone is running it, but I was hoping to choose a block on Sunday to host, too.)
Unspeakable Words

Awesome, if you entered all of them yourself, I can probably track the games from your IP on the form, to help make sure yours get scheduled near the family area.

EDIT: I WAS able to track them that way, so I'll note these ones when I pull the final event database, so they get in the family area for sure! Are the names that are filled in as Gamemasters the only students that will be attending? (I want to make sure I make the right amount of special badges for them!)

I'll pm you what I did. I had them all sent to the same e-mail address. I figured that might have helped. I have to get my final entries in and this last student one. I'm about to pass out (it's been a way too long day with a way too short weekend ahead......).
