All Playdeck stuff is on sale, including the Summoner Wars everything pack for .99.
BTW, I can now run Summoner Wars without crashing.

Re: Tablet games
I tried to find you to invite you to a game, but did not see you in my friends list. Have you done an online game? If you haven't but you log into the online server you should populate in my list automatically & vice versa. I have been playing again with Coffeedrinker and have been making my own deck lists now. It is quite fun.Harbinger wrote:All Playdeck stuff is on sale, including the Summoner Wars everything pack for .99.

Everyone feel free to invite me to some games.
Cheers!

"Battle Maps 2" dropped $10°°.
It is still too expensive!
But I bought it anyway.

Re: Tablet games
I have to give a big thumbs up to Sid Meir's Ace Patrol. It's not unlike Wings of War, so if you don't like turn based WWI fighter combat games, this may not be for you. But it is free (with some IAP if you want more than the base stuff) and has some really nice graphics and I can't stop playing it, so check it out.

BTW It's both amusing and understandable that folk who have taken advantage of in- app purchases for gold (~non-essential short cut/ semi cheat-ish) are getting frustrated by random events that lose gold and complaining about developer price gouging in the implementation. Those irritating random events are directly from the game... [though maybe someone should have noted that in the purchase menu and it might have helped to see a slightly more clear random events roll].

Re: Tablet games
Yeah, I saw those complaints. As many hours as I spent playing Warhammer Quest, those events were old hat, but I could see where someone might think it's an issue, but then again, those are the people dumb enough to buy in-game currency, in a game where earning the currency is a huge part of the game. I never got the mentality of paying extra to make games go faster.
I do like the extra warriors and content you can buy though. A tad pricey, but it made the initial price point lower than I expected it to be.
And darn it, Games Workshop finds a way to weasel money out of me once again!

Re: Tablet games
Suburbia for iOS came out last night. Frikken awesome!
The good- Faithful port from the board game, with the completely awesome addition of single player campaign mode.
This is a challenging way to play the game beyond the straight format. There are cities that you must achieve certain objectives for to move onto other cities. Certain types of terrain might be unavailable, you might have to connect some existing tiles together, while pay attention to one of three tiers of scoring goals.
There is also a pass and play mode, which also includes the single player with several different styles of AI players.
The bad- Multiplayer mode, while using Game Center, does not allow you to choose opponents.
The Ugly- The first single player game I tried last night, went horribly awry. It would not show me my tiles and eventually it got stuck and I couldn't do anything except restart. Seems to be ok upon trying a new game today. so...
Edit: if you are actually logged into Game Center, you can choose opponents.
The campaign mode is pretty sweet. Neuroshima Hex Puzzle did this well too. I hear Galaxy Trucker will also do something similar. It really ramps up the replayability and challenge.
I highly recommend it!

Re: Tablet games
So, yeah, there have been issues with Suburbia. It's impressive that they came out with a fix for the initial problems with a few days. But then the missing tile issue cropped up. I wrote to Ted Alspach and he said they are working on a new fix to be released after X-Mas. So sorry about the playability issues, don't give up! It still works fine in single player mode, oh and I asked him about some of the ui issues in multiplayer, and he said they are working on changes.
Oh and playing this, made me realize I had the Employer goal backwards- I said it was for using the X2 markers, when in fact is for not using them. When it first came out there was no info on that and I guess I made the call. Sorry to CD for steering him wrong on that one.

Tablet games
All of them.
All the games.
But seriously, besides the obvious ones like Ticket to Ride and Small world, I think you would appreciate Elder Sign. It's a great version of the board game.
