Speaking of hardrives. I have a hardrive at work that has *cough*ME*cough* for an OS. I want to put it in my machine that has 98SE in order to extract data from it. The ME installation is screwed up and there is no other way (such as a network connection) to pull off the data. The question is, what do I have to do to have my 98SE OS boot and not the ME?
Memoir wouldn't do that...

Boot with 98SE then pull data off of the ME drive. Both are based off of a fat32 drive storage system. You can read the ME when you boot with 98SE. If you said XP though that would be a different story. Some still use the Fat32 but most XP installs are with the NTFS file system. This is not compatable when you boot with a fat32 drive. However you can read a fat32 drive when you boot with a NTFS drive. Go figure.

Remember to have your 98SE drive set to master and your ME drive set to slave. Unless you have a completely open IDE connection open then you can leave the ME drive on master.

It worked in Windows, I just had the wrong slave jumper settings. There was only four to choose from.

I got the parts together to do your speaker project, let me know when a good time to come over and do that would be.

Nope! I was thanking him for working on a wiring project. I am jumping my computer in the dining room to the living room so I can listen to my collection of MP3's on my other stereo. Buying the wire to go this distance would cost a small fortune from Radio Shack or ony of the other places you can buy this from.

I guess you could say Harbinger is my cheap love slave. Or something like that...
