Now, this may be out of place, but I know Harbinger's basement has been a bit torn up, and he has been putting extra time towards getting it all finished up. He has a few projects that I will say could use some hands, even if he won't say it. I've offered myself for some labor where needed, but I just wanted to throw this out there if anyone else felt like offering a hand. (Especially since the big project is sort of a benefit to all of us now that the chances of being burned alive in a basement fire have been reduced quite a bit with the upgrade.)

No one should ever feel obligated of course, but I know I am always looking for ways to pay back the amount of awesome-ness that he lays out by allowing us into his home week after week. I know he would never ask for a hand, since he is one heck of a guy like that and willingly opens up his home to us with little asked in return. And I am sure he will continue to do so, even if he does all this extra work himself.

I just thought I'd throw this out there in case anyone had a willing-ness to shovel some dirt, or paint some trim or something to help out our excellent gaming host.

Ooooh, home improvement projects. I love 'em. Let me know when, where (wait...?), and what to bring.

Oddly enough, I am ridiculously available.

Name the day(s) and time, me and whatever useful tools I have will be there...

...unless life returns to normal.

I can run wire and hook up boxes and switches without electrocuting myself. I have tools for painting, cutting, bleeding, etc. I don't always have access to a vehicle, but I will help where I can. I am a good painter.

Hmm, The last two days have been productive. I have the walls painted and wainscoting up. Trim has to be painted, and installed. New ceiling tile installed, baseboard heaters re-installed and sill cut and mounted. It's only a corner to start, but when I go to do the rest of the room, is when I could use some help. This would involved moving the games and computer, etc.

What I could really use help with is the landscaping (moving a couple piles of dirt) from the hole for the egress well. One is the clay from the hole and the other is topsoil. I am spreading it around the foundation to bring the ground up on the south side of the house, then laying the topsoil and planting grass seed. Would any volunteers be available on Sunday? This should be enough time to let it dry out a bit.

Gardening....blech.

But if that is what you need I am in.
I have a shovel or two. Maybe a iron rake for evening out.

I'm fine with the inside work as well.

Let me know what time. I'll be over with my shovel and a wheel barrel.

I have no tools for dirt moving, but I have some gloves and a willingness to swing/shovel/rake/barrow/dig/dump/whatever with an extra implement.

So, two things are preventing this. There was a mess up with top soil delivery. I don't have it yet. Plus the clay pile is pretty wet yet.
Then there was a mess up with some trim in the basement. I have to re-think my plans for the trim and I should concentrate on the basement.
So... I think next Sunday the 4th will work out better for dirt moving.

I will be working on electrical, ceiling, and trim tomorrow in the basement if still interested in helping.
9am.

Don't worry about it. Things are under control.
