More news to come, but my school TTG group will be hosting a day of gaming at the school on Saturday, April 5!!!!

I think we're going to set up tables and things in the gym and let people bring games to play, as well as host some games. The awesome part is that families are welcome!!!!

When I have times and whatnot ready, I'll share.

I may also be able to help run some games that day.
Just keep me informed.

I'm looking for some rough times. We're playing around with starting at 9:30/10AM and running until around 5PM. We have the cafeteria with ample room, tables, chairs, etc. All of my peeps from PU (teehee) are invited with their families.

So what times do you think would be the best? I'm ironing out some bits to try to get the times to work.

Sounds like a good event. We are planning on showing, so please provide details when closer/known.

UPDATE: I've been verbally approved by my principal, because if it's your school, you get first dibs.

10AM - 5PM (or 6PM)

We have lots of tables and things. I'll create a gaming chart if anyone wants to run a game or two. I know OMM is going to run Pandemic, because there's has been a huge demand from my students to play, but it's time consuming and difficult to run in a 30 minute session at school.

I'll have gaming favorites of my club available, such as the two Tsuros, Takenoko, Smallworld (and Underworld), and Ticket to Ride. A full game list to come, but I'd love for people to host games or bring some that you think, especially middle schoolers, might like. It isn't a must, though.

We're going to be selling some chocolates and providing some snacks to help support the club. We'll also have some raffling to do. And we have the whole cafeteria. I'll post a flier with more details. If you are for sure wanting to attend, PM me and I'll send over details. If this year goes well, we're going to make it a bigger deal. This year is a trial run to see how it goes, so we're keeping it smallish.

I'm working on a GoogleDrive spreadsheet for the game-day set-up. If you have gmail and want to sign-up, let me know. Spots are wide open right now. I reserved a few tables for my club specifically and I can finagle things differently.

There will also be two open gaming tables for just bringing stuff and gaming.

Is anyone interested in running a Magic table or tables? I have kids interested, but they've not acted on setting something up within the club. And if I'm being honest. . . right as I got into MTG, my husband sort of phased out. So I have limited experience with it.

So PM if you can share the GD Spreadsheet and if not, PM me with what you're thinking. We've got slots open from 10AM - 5PM. Just let me know length of time you're wanting, the game, and all that jazz. :-)

There are tons of tables for open gaming. Does anyone want to set something up for Magic? I have some students who seem to be into Magic, but I'm just not in a good position to be a teacher on it. But I think there might be some interest!

We're still going strong with games and interest. I'm trying to get some numbers so I can account for tables and things like that.

Bring games for open gaming. It'll kind of be a free-for-all. Play what you want. Games are available and kids and myself will be moving through groups helping teach and just all-around playing. The kids are at all different levels and are eager to learn.

I've decided to create an adult area where just adults can set up a game to play while their kids head off to play. We've got a good bit of space and all that. We have a few kids who really are excited about D&D who are going to try to run a small little adventure. Another group wants to run a Magic: The Gathering area. It's looking pretty exciting so far!

My clan is all planning on being there some time shortly after noon.

I asked each to pick a game to bring and teach. So far we have one with Ubongo and another for Sitting Ducks.

I'm planning on bringing some Magic cards (Portal) and willing to teach those interested in learning how to play.

Additionally, we will have a some other lighter stuff with us.

Thank you for setting this up.

Awesome! There's a lot of excitement about there being some Magic playing breaking out.

You can park in the parking lot and come in the door closest to the parking lot that is up the steps by the tree. (That's for everyone, not just DE).

Thanks everyone so much for coming. My kids were gushing this morning about how much fun they had on Saturday. It was a small gathering, but it was not about the quantity, but the quality (which was incredibly high). It is always a great time seeing the group and allowing for the students to experience gaming beyond what I can offer in the classroom. Plus it's also wonderful to see how much they've grown since N.E.W. Game.

It's not just a great learning experience for them, but for me as well. (Um. . . fewer pizzas next time.) I was so proud of them. We are currently in talks over how to establish a small Magic group and, after introducing the new edition of Werewolf, we are reinstating Werewolf with some new guidelines and rules. Huzzah!

Darth - Happy Birthday! I'm glad we could help make your day so special. I know Mackenzie LOVED hanging out with you and your family. Keagen also enjoyed being able to teach you some games.

DE - That's a really awesome write-up. I'll share it with the kids. :-)

Thank you, again. It was a blast and a memorable day.
