Well, in this country, we count 24 hour days, so 12 is half a day. (or 0.5 days if I convert it to metric for you, Mr. Euro man! :-" )

Spoiler: show
0.5 is a decimal number equivalent to the fraction a half ( 1/2 ). Although metric (SI) is based on the decimal system of expressing numbers there's nothing intrinsically metric about 0.5 ; this pedantry is obviously just a ruse to sidetrack you all from realizing that I walked straight into SB's observation ...

More helpfully the base unit of time is the second which although formally adopted as metric unit seems to be mostly the only commonly used unit no matter where you live. Days are days - unless of course there's a special Wisconsin unit of time [insert appropriate joke here if you wish...] ;-)

More importantly this chart may help the conversion process & I'm glad we're past spit goes 'clink'

We really need to get that "thank user for this post" button thing working again, because CD just took my knuckle ball of a joke, and knocked it out of the park! (That's a baseball reference. I'd convert it to cricket, but I'm not sure how many bases there is in a sticky wicket,)
