After conspiring with GT and Eric, we've found a day that works (for us) for a Risk Legacy marathon.

We don't know if we're going to mange the entire 15 game campaign in a sitting but we're going to make a fair dent in it if we don't finish it.

Monday 21st, Martin Luther King Jr day. from 9:30ish.
6 days and counting.
Why am I telling you this?
Well, it plays 5 and we've two spots open...

So are you:
[ ]willing to enter a 15 game campaign of strategic dice driven mayhem?
[ ]ready to mould the campaign world to your will?
[ ]able to embrace rewriting rules as the campaign evolves?
[ ]willing to stay inside all day and play the 'same' game repeatedly?
[ ]able to cope with bad jokes/ rules lawyers/ foreign accents (and any eccentricities the others bring...)?
    [ ]free all next Monday?

If so then, sign up below - your faction needs you!

Hey! Some of us private sector people still need to work for a living. What's this thing about having a game day on a week day? :)

In all seriousness, thanks CD for taking the initiative in arranging a special event. Sounds like a great time.

I thought it was a public holiday when I suggested it and most folk would be off (poor deluded foreigner that I am #-o ). I was wrong but as it works for GT and Eric so I'm forging ahead (cue maniacal laughter)...

I'll know better next time and it's a long winter, so I may attempt another nefarious scheme games day or two...

Harb, Skit, and DE - I'll note that we have at least one more mint and one part used copy of Legacy, so this may not be "the war to end all wars".

Coffeedrinker:

Looks like we are not at full capacity. Were you planning on going fwd anyway, or postponing until we can get enough people to play with all factions?

I am fine with postponing if you prefer to get enough folks for a full roster of players, it looks as above that there are some interested parties who are not available this particular day.

Conversely, if you saw Saunderedheart and GT on Thursday and firmed up plans, I am fine with going fwd as well.

I will watch this space for confirmation on whether this is going fwd or not.

Cheers!

Eric I didn't make it on Thursday in the end so haven't talked to SH and GT but my plan is to go ahead. BGG suggests Legacy is best with 5 but recommended for 4. As I'm in the fortunate position to have two copies, I'm happy to go ahead with a four player campaign if you'd all like to working on the assumption that I'll be able to set up a 5 player in the future. I'd also consider going with another epic game or series if we felt that we'd all rather play in a 5 player.

Sounds good, I will see you then. If there is anything you need/want me to bring, let me know.

Cheers!

It sounds like loads of fun, but Monday is our D & D night and I don't have that day off. Kill some bad guys for me.

I'll try to provide something like taco soup and toasted cheese for lunch and if we're going into the evening maybe get pizza? I'm not sure if I'll have drinks on hand but will manage water/ coffee/ tea/ elderflower at least. low on snacks though.
conference room has fridge and microwave.

I'm planning on trying to record a brief outline of games. from what i've read it'll be tight but possible to manage the 15 games but we'll probably hit 10 or so at least.

I normally like to bring donuts from Manderfields bakery to paloozas so barring objections I will do that for the AM.

I will bring some drinks and snacks to share. I am always fine with ordering out too!

I like the idea of you doing a session report. When I was new to the group and more energetic I tried to to that, with limited talent for it, but I am always glad to read substantive session reports/reviews. They are some of the only things I read on BGG. I haven't read much on this game as I try to avoid spoilers, but I will have a look at the rulebook so as not to slow us down.

Looking forward to it!

Cheers!

I'd love to stop by sometime and check it out. Just to watch the smack talk that Risk brings out. However, I don't remember the super secret method to gaining access to the tower. Can you PM me the method? Thanks!
