Start time is 9 am if you are so inclined. Of course no one will kick you out if you come earlier.

Oberdue, I plan on having fresh watermelon and muskmelon, from the garden by then, so you don't have to bring that. I'll let you know if nature spoils those plans.

Someday you will have to teach us how to grow big melons. (*snicker*) For some reason, ours never turn out.

So, yeah, about my big melons... The watermelons are just single serving size, and apparently, we didn't plant muskmelon. We should have watered more and planted.

Anyway. Looking forward to the big day- remember bring the swim suits and your favorite yard games, oh and your favorite kids. There will be a tally board to keep track of the games for Familypalooza Yard Game Champion or Fygc and the winner gets to hold onto the Fygc trophy until next year.

We are ready!

We will be bringing a crock pot type appetizer as well, maybe buffalo chicken dip.
We have the yard games ready - washer boxes, bean bag toss, and the waterfall slide. I assume one jumpy house is enough so we will leave oursbat home, unless someone thinks it would bebworth bringing.

All I need to do is decide which swim suit to leave at Harbs again.

My daughter can't get enough bouncy house, but no one has commited to bringing one.

I was wondering if doing a few group activities would be fun. Can anyone think of some actual multi-player games that can be played? (they should be more gamer-y) I was thinking of having a 'river crossing' competition- where you have two 'stones' that you need to stay on as you cross a 'river'. Sort of a relay race.

I applaud that you're giving hobos work in this tough economy, but why restrict yourself to midget hobos? Full-sized hobos can certainly get the job done just as well, if not better.

Plus they fit in the trunk of your car, and are much easier to throw on the roof for frisbee retrieval.

Well the mini-hobos can double for a dwarf for dwarf-tossing and that means less pounds of flesh to carry around - two games for the cost of one, if you will. You know me, I like to save space as much as I can which is why I refuse to buy large-box games and keep a small game collection.

You do realize that some of those boxes that the larger games come in are getting close to a good size for storing midgets, right? If this trend continues, I think there might be a good reason to repurpose the boxes.

I did make the joke of BGG after buying Fortune & Glory, that at least the box was big enough to live in, after we lose our houses from buying...Fortune & Glory.

Harbster - I may come a little early to setup all the games and inflatable stuff so when the crowd gathers that stuff is already in place - maybe 30 mins. That cool?

I think the rest of the family might be showing since I plan on being elsewhere for the day. If the weather is crappy, then I may skip it and visit you guys.

I also will have an extra set by then, since I made up some new bags with different player colors, and need to make a new color corrected set.
