LOTR Card game

#1 Post by Seripmav » Mon Apr 21, 2003 8:34 pm

I got this game for Easter. I don't know how to play it but the cards look nice. Too bad out of 63 cards in the starter deck I really got about 20 cards and rest were doubles/triples. Supposedly the starter deck is made that way - I guess they want to start ripping you off right from the start. It's one of those CCG's that you'll never ever be able to collect them all. Anyway, I was interested because I got a few foils at GenCon and thought I'd like to give it a go.

As you'll recall I chose Game of Thrones by Fantasy Flight over LOTR. I've got enough of that game to play a 3 player so we should give that a go sometime too. However my opinion hasn't changed that CCG's are a rip off. You really need to spend a fortune just build a good deck.

Holy necro batman! You know, I think I only ever played it once. I'll have to see if I can find it. I did have enough cards, I think, but not necessarily any great combinations.

Isn't Easter like a few months from now? Is he some sort of time traveler?
The wheel is turning, but the hamster is dead.

I just go where I'm told. Hell is a frequent location.

Every 3 to 5 years this thread pops back up. It just won't die.

I think this qualifies as a zombie thread. It's dead, it just does not know it yet.

...what's with that?
