Bare Metal Brigades – Paint optional.

Tiny Soldier Recreationals – Riding the search engine wave!

Luggable Legions – Keeping the tackle box industry alive for over forty years.

I vote for any of these. well done GT!

Hey atom, it's your baby you do it your way. i wasn't trying to stop that. My response was mostly directed to those, that rather than suggest something, took more time telling me I was an idiot for thinking that a regional name was OK. I am just trying to help you guys, not hinder in any way.

Would a Wisconsin based name be large enough for you? Wisconsin Association of Miniature Gaming? WAM G!!!!

No, I never thought you were trying to stop it or anything. I was just responding to kind of clarify it (at least in my own mind) and help with the decision process.

Wisconsin might be large enough for us. I wish I could figure out a way to make the name spell WANG.

If we ever started LAN parties again, I would want to call it Wisconsin Area Network Gamers.

Nihilism, def. - "The belief that destruction of existing political or social institutions is necessary for future improvement."

Wargaming > Boardgaming = Blasphemy? :-k

Now I'm liking:

Tabletop Minions
It refers to the players themselves (they are minions of the tabletop miniatures games) and and it refers to the actual miniatures themselves (these minis are my tabletop minions). It's mostly genre-neutral, and it sounds ever so slightly 1950s campy horror movie (Seize them, my minions!) which is an added bonus to me.

Tabletop Legions
Kind of the same as above, but it doesn't refer to the players themselves as much, at least in my mind. It's a bit less genre-neutral, too. Makes me think of Roman legions.

Hmmm.

This would make warmachine and hordes players interested. Mercenaries in Hordes are referred to as Minions.

Maybe call it the Teamsters or Microsoft? Wait, not global enough. Universe miniatures? Kind of an oxymoron thing going there. Don't mind me, I just admire how you guys paint better than me.

The group I game with Thursday night is starting a Blood Bowl league so I'm going to have to learn how to paint to have my own team. Yikes!

Maybe I can practice on SuperHawk's games first?!?

I primed the orks in my Blood Bowl game a few months back. I've got the skin on about half of those done. I'm waiting on starting the human team, as I'm missing one human fig and a friend of mine on the east coast says he'll send me a replacement, but he is forgetful.

I really would like to start a Blood Bowl league around here, and that's what a minis club could facilitate. I'm mainly painting mine up to play with Derf or my friend Peter, but if we started a league, I'd probably pick and paint a different team. I'd have to do a little research.

I would be in for a blood bowl team no doubt. I would need to pick up the new "living rulebook" since I haven;t played in ten years or so...but I have a few painted teams already to go...

There are some sweet Blood Bowl fields (or pitches, as they call them) on Terragenesis. Really nicely made ones. I have the one that came with my game, but I still like to look at them.

We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes and the flashback starts
I'm standing there
In the mud pit with the stinky air
See the swords, see the party of heroes
See you make your way through the crowd
With a Big Axe
Little did I know

That you were Romucko
You were throwing skulls
And my overlord said, "Stay away from JuliYuck,"
And I was crying in the mess hall
Begging you, "Please kill him..,"
And I said

Romucko, take me
Somewhere we can kill some stuff
I'll be waiting
All there's left to do is run
You'll be the Meat Sheild
And I'll be the battle mage
It's a love story
Gobbo, just say yes

So I sneak out to the gallows to see you
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this dungeon for a little while

'Cause you were Romucko
I was a scarlet trooper
And my daddy said, "Stay away from JuliYuck,"
But you were everything to me
I was begging you, "Please kill him,"
And I said

Romucko, take me
Somewhere we can kill some stuff
I'll be waiting
All there's left to do is run
You'll be the Meat Sheild
And I'll be the battle mage
It's a love story
Gobbo, just say yes

Romucko, save me
They're trying to tell me how to kill
This love is difficult, but it's real
Don't be afraid
We'll make it out of this mess
It's a love story
Gobbo, just say yes

I got tired of beheading
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you is fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town
And I said

Romucko, save me
I'm gonna sack this town alone
I keep waiting for you
But you never come
Is this in my head?
I don't know what to think
He knelt to the ground and pulled out an axe
And said

Kill with me, JuliYuck
You'll never have to pillage alone
I love you and that's all I really know
I talked to your Overlord
You'll pick out a nice axe
It's a love story
Gobbo, just say yes

We were both young when I first saw you...

Nicely done on the fly. I too was moved. (Sniff) I love those happy endings.
