OK, so I posted on Bartertown.com to see what I could get for my Hybrid set (since everyone seems to be going towards Warmachine), and a guy is offering me a very very good offer.

*Prices listed are suggested retail on the Privateer Press site*

- Cryx Starter Army ($49.99)
- Full unit (10) Bile Thralls ($29.99 x 2 = total of $59.98)
- Skarlock ($9.99)
- Iron Lich Asphyxious ($13.99)
- Leviathan ($32.99)
- Pistol Wraith x2 ($7.99 x 2 = $15.98)
- Bloat thrall ($21.99)

If you want to see pictures, I put together the excel doc found at: http://www.theimmortalguardians.net/files/cryxarmy.xls

If you total it all up you get $204.91, which is wayyy above the $80 that I paid for Hybrid. Apparently even though we had a copy of it available here in the area, it's hard to find elsewhere.

Here's the problem, I honestly would prefer to instead get the Protectorate army, and this particular army doesn't have the items from Cryx I most wanted anyways. That being said, would anyone want to work something out to get the above mentioned army?

If nobody is interested, I may just accept the trade and try to find a way to trade it away later for the Protectorate set. But I figure, hey, if one of you interested in Warmachine wants the Cryx army, this is a great deal.

The catch is that this guy probably will want me to answer him soon, and I don't want him to move his offer elsewhere. Shoot me a PM on the forums here if you are interested, and I can give you my cell number if you want to talk live. I'd post it here, but who knows what Google Bots are trolling the forum for personal info.

Wow. I'd make that trade! You can usually find another player trying to move back and forth between factions. Sheesh. $80 for $200? Check out other WM posts and see what people are trying to trade for Protectorate and Cryx. It should give you an idea of what you'd be facing should you pull the trigger on this trade.

I might have to pick up a copy of Hybrid to trade!

Hey BHL, let me know if you are serious about getting Hybrid, I happen to know where a copy is on clearance (new) for $65.

GT is snapping up the deal for the above mentioned trade, so I will work something out with him. Thanks all!

Well if GT falls through. I will work out something with you...those figs are smokin'!

I always thought everything other than Games Workshop stuff looked like a five year old sculpted it....but It has been a few years, and it looks like things are picking up!

Yeah at first I was a little iffy about Warmachines, considering how much I had liked the Confrontation mini's from Rackham. After looking at them more though, I like them a lot. The Cryx army certainly seems to have some cool artwork.

As for the trade, GT and I worked something out, so on our way down to April Game-A-Thon (Superhawk's event) GT will be picking up his new army. I made a deal with a guy on Bartertown.com to get all my Protectorate army for 50% off list, so I pay whatever is left after GT reimburses me for the Cryx army and we should both be good to go. I am not sure yet if I will have my army before next weekend though. No worries though, I should have it by the time we get together to play at Harb's for the palooza on the 25th (I may be able to go now).

nononono, I was just saying if your interest was only passing, or you had something come up before a deal was final, that I would jump in line to make sure the deal got done! That was too good of a trade for him not to take it based on lack of interest, and it is always nice to have a back-up plan for something like that.

Am don't mind that one carpet tile that sits a fraction of an inch higher than the rest....that's...ummmm extra padding.... go stand on it and see how nice it feels....what this lever?? I an just holding it for a guy, you don;t worry about that now....go feel you new carpet. or even better, have a seat in that chair over there.....no THAT one.....hehehehehe

Well from what I hear GT's son wants in to the Warmachine rush now too, so he's into it whether he likes it or not. ;)

Anything that involves total annihilation, mass destruction, or pandemonium at your expense, then count him in. He is kind of like the "wild card." I try to think of him as bringing the apocalypse to a friendly game of Elk Fest.
