Solos are squishy.

Squishy yes, but unless someone has AOE or something, they have to spend an entire attack to kill 1 piece of your 10 part unit. ;) Oh, and my Paladins have ARM/DEF equal to that of a warjack when they are in Stone & Mortar Stance. What?!

More painting finished, finally.

Image

I didn't say a lot of painting finished, just painting finished.

I've put together the magehunter lady with the terrible pose, and will finish up her base maybe even tonight. Then, I might prime her this weekend. I have my Widowmakers all based and primed and ready to paint, so I'll get started on them this weekend, as well.

Yeah, the blog has been a really good idea for me. It's been keeping me going with my painting and such to some degree, so that's always good. It's also been good for me to check other gaming blogs to keep myself motivated.

I'm in-progress on a OshCon site redesign. I have some simple structure changes coming, based off of data pulled from the analytics (hmm... the Photos page is the 2nd most popular page after the front page. Maybe I should make it a little easier to find, then!) and a general look-sprucing, if you know what I mean. I'm also working with a Cold Fusion (what I originally wrote the site in) programmer friend of mine to add some more functionality, like an auto-response email that would be sent back to the GM when I've entered his or her event into the system, and some RSS feeds, and maybe even some mobile access for the Schedule page and such. Stuff like that.

But tonight, I'll be finishing the magehunter's base, and maybe think real hard on my color scheme for my Widowmakers.

The Magehunter has been primed, and as of yesterday, my Destroyer has been primed, too! I know, I'm as surprised as you are. I doubt I'll have him painted before OshCon, but I should have him done right after OshCon, and then I really would like to get together and do a few battlebox fights. Maybe he'll be done before RockCon. That might be cool.

My Destroyer is actually done. It is truly the end times.

Okay, well, he needs another coat of brush-on matte varnish and a little bit of static grass on his base, but other than that, he's done. So it'll be the end times either tonight, or Wednesday. Certainly before Thursday.

So who wants to do a battlebox fight this weekend? I mean, besides me, that is. I don't think I could host this weekend, but we could probably play at the House of Heroes, depending on when we wanted to play. Let me know and we can coordinate something.

I'll have to dig out my lightbox and take some photos of the Destroyer and the whole happy battlebox family this weekend.
