My 6th Graders Made Games!

#1 Post by AdventGeekGirl » Thu May 28, 2015 6:30 am

I taught my tabletop game unit again this year for my students. I had to use Lucy Calkins for my Literacy curriculum this year, which I thought would throw a wrench in my unit, but instead it elevated it into a culminating writing unit. I need to do a lot more with mechanics next year, but we'll see how things turn out with time. We only had 6 1/2 weeks this year to get these done.

I posted their 23 games to a BGG list and the students would love to get feedback (or thumbs) on their games.

Thanks in advance for checking these out.

Very nice projects AGG!

So many ideas for me to steal! j/k Will give thumbs all around tonight.

Everyone should take 5 minutes and thumb all of these.

Thank you! I always feel compelled to say that these are prototypes in the rawest form and still need work to be something truly marketable, but they've done a great job in only 6 1/2 weeks. :-)

I suppose I can be persuaded to make my annual login to BGG.
Trolls exist!
They steal your socks. But only the left ones...

...what's with that?

Thank you all. The kids were thrilled when everything was over and they're really excited for me to take their games to GenCon with me. Some of them really pulled it off in the end and those are the kids that made this whole project amazing. :-)
