This was my idea. :( I'd love to play board games on this!

I know they have these tables in some bars in Vegas. You can place orders from them, play little games, and chat with other tables.

But imagine having your entire game collection at the touch of a table. Set up/break down any game instantly and makes the Game Cabinet of Wonder obsolete.

Save games in progress, use them for minatures battles- a tank gets hit, smoke billows out. The possibilities are endless.

Virtual d20 for the LOSE! I love the idea, ti is so awesome, but if I can't roll my dice, all bets are off.

The proof of concept is awesome. Waaaay too slow for a real game at this point though. From their demo, I'd want that die roll to be much quicker. Yeah, it's sexy how it rolls across the screen the first time, but after that I'd be like, "come, ON!" As SB said, I need to roll those dice on my own. There's something suspenseful about rolling your own dice and cheering for the number you need. So much less so when it runs through a computer program.

On the other hand, it would be cool for miniatures games, what with the line of sight rulings and all the neat-o movement.

I don't know. I see the potential - and the potential is huge. But for me, a big part of gaming is the social interaction and the piles of books and figures sitting around. But that's just me. But this is really cool and I can see some good things coming down the pipe.

If you can RFID tag (or something like that) the dice and mini's that would be AWESOME.

I did look this up quite awhile ago.

The PC is now up and running on Windows 7, but it wasn't my idea.
