I've been getting the catalog of these available through Netflix. I love this show!

I watched a little bit of the movie the other night. I haven't seen this show in years and I was instantly reminded of why I liked it so much. On the other hand I do find the pace to be a tiny bit slow and I'm not that interested at the breaks where they are walking around the ship and talking, but yes, a great show nonetheless.

A similar show, only in that they do the insults with voice overs, that I absolutely love, is MXC. Sometimes they're going so fast I miss jokes because I'm still laughing at the last one.

Oh man - I love MXC!

My take would be that in MST3K, you can actually watch the terrible movie along with Joel/Mike and the bots. In MXC, it's just such an insane series of stupid human tricks and the quick fire commentary matches the pace of the events.

"Right you are, Ken!" is definitely signature worthy.

Make sure you check out their other projects.

You can get an audio track to play along with your own movies at http://www.rifftrax.com/. This is a great site since they riff the newer movies.

You can also find the other half of the cast over at http://www.cinematictitanic.com/. They are pretty close to the old style.

rifftrax + mp3 player + movie theater equals AWESOME!

We went and saw IronMan at the cheap theater the third time I saw it, and I loaded the rifftrax on the mp3.....it was pure awesome sauce!

Haha! Awesome. My favorite MST3K will always be the Pod People episode. I believe it's on DVD collection 2? Most of the guys involved with MST3K have started a new thing called "the Film Crew." It's good, too... but it's definitely not their prime stuff.
I also get annoyed at some of the non-movie riffing.
